Be it oil, acrylic, watercolor or mixed media, still life is almost ALWAYS about the light. What a challenge for an artist! What A Way To Spend The Day was selected to be the image to represent the SC Book Festival a few years back. It was a huge honor! Also, I used the same photo for inspiration to create Luscious, that I used as my entry which was selected by the Cultural Council, to participate in the Street Gallery 2001. That was one huge cantaloupe when placed on a bill board!
